Emergency Backup Power Testing:

F acilities that have permanent generators are required to perform routine testing of the emergency system. In order to complete these tests, a mock load must be created to pull from the generator. A load bank is used to create / generate the load. Think of the load bank as a giant toaster. In order to ensure that the generator is functioning properly, the load bank must be able to mimic the power draw that the facility would pull for a certain amount of time.

How are Power Output Panels used?

PowerGATE Power Output Panels have two types of applications:

Emergency backup power testing Access to building power Both of these functions require bringing the power out of the panel through the 16 Series female Cam-Type connections. Transfer Switch PowerGATE Output Panel Load Bank
