LEX PRODUCTS POWERGATE INPUT PANEL - SPECIFICATION BOILERPLATE 1. GENERAL 1.1. PowerGATE Power Input panels shall provide a safe, convenient and economical way to connect temporary emergency power from portable generators to a facility in conjunction with a UL Listed transfer switch. 1.2. PowerGATE Power Input panels shall be available in rating configurations of 200 Amp, 400 Amp, 800 Amp, 1200 Amp and 1600 Amp service. PowerGATE Power Input Panels shall be cULus Listed to UL 1008 as a transfer switch accessory. 2. COMPLIANCE 2.1. The 200 Amp - 1600 Amp power input panels must be Listed to UL 1008 as a transfer switch accessory for the US and Canada. 2.2. UL and cUL Listed labels shall be secured to the panel. 2.3. The input panels are to be fully tested by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL), to meet UL 1008 requirements. Built to the standard shall not be accepted. 2.4. All power input panels shall be Type 3R compliant and the Type 3R rating shall be maintained with the temporary cables engaged. 3. MECHANICAL 3.1. All power input panels shall be constructed of aluminum, mild steel or Stainless Steel. 3.2. Connections shall be arranged so that cables drape downward when connected. 3.3. 200 - 800 Amp Models 3.3.1. The power input panel shall have an enclosure manufactured of [ SPECIFY EITHER: aluminum and painted ANSI 61 gray with a textured finish OR Grade 316 stainless steel OR Grade 304 stainless steel]. 3.3.2. The power input panel enclosure dimensions are to be 24" wide x 32 high x 11.5 deep.
3.3.3. The power input panel shall include
four (4) welded mounting tabs for wall mounting
. 3.3.4. The power input panel shall be divided into an upper termination chamber and a lower wiring chamber.
